Like really, really fucking quick.
0-60 in the neighborhood of 2.5-2.7 seconds. I can’t wait to see full reviews and specs when they land here in the US.
I know the Model S does 60 in like 2.3, but this is remarkable for Porsche’s first stab at an electric car.

You should never go from 0-60mph in a neighborhood. That’s just dangerous.

Maybe I’m dumb, or ignorant, or just haven’t kept up with the news, but how can it be a Turbo if it doesn’t have a turbocharger? Has this topic already been covered?

It’s just Porsche’s naming scheme. Think 911 Turbo and Turbo S.

“Turbo” that makes me inordinately angry.

31kWh/100km...
A Better Route Planner says the reference consumption for the Model S P100D is 22kWh/100km... I wonder how the Taycan does when it’s driven normally for a while. Gramp’s model 3 does 19kWh despite being considerably smaller, and also less powerful.
EDIT:
According to ABRP, the taycan Turbo S
does 21kWh/100km as a reference. But these references improve as more cars are tested... I wonder how the number will change

Turbo is now a trim level with no meaning behind the name anymore.

No turbos, just Porsche marketing department being ridiculously lazy and stupid. Just what you want from a premium auto manufacturer.

Elon Musk said a few weeks back "Porsche, you keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means". Porsche long ago devalued turbo to a sales badge. Jalopnik wrote a long story about turbo's journey to moniker. So, yeah, sorta covered.

I really want to like electric cars/bikes/etc... but I can’t. No matter how many I drive I can’t help but feel like something is missing.
